My Recent blogs that were about the Documentaries published by BBC to show rape crisis in India and later was an Indian Man reply to the same documentary.

Here, I am going to discuss about an awesome short film made by the Vaastav Group, which you should not miss to watch. The film reflects about the flip side and explains us that crime has no gender.

Do watch it and read below.

After watching it, not all but many people comes on to a doubt that Men are trying to defend themselves but are you sure what are you thinking?
If you’re among the ones who has that doubt this time I’ll prove it wrong. Yes, here’s the report brought up by The Hindu that went up to NCRB (National Crime Records Bureau), which is the only Indian source of statistical data on sexual assault
The Hindu stated:

“First Information Reports (FIRs) filed in police stations across the country are collected at the state level and then put together at the national level. With respect to rape, NCRB data gives the number of cases registered in all states (1,636 in Delhi in 2013, for instance) and in 53 major cities, the age-groups of the alleged victims and a rough categorisation of the alleged offenders nearness to the victim. The data is not able to say anything more about the nature of sexual assault. “

gender has no crime
Study by The Hindu

Now let’s look over the graphs of 583 cases that were studied by The Hindu with reference to NCRB data.

Now this is just the case of Delhi and the same thing goes up with other states as well. Also, Delhi is referred as a crime city by every Indian and now even other countries find it so easy to call it a crime city. But are you aware who’s committing the real crime? Definitely you will be shocked to know but it’s those people who claim false accusation about an individual or group without bringing out the real proof.

After reading few sections and articles of Indian Penal Code 1860, I found this two:

As per Section 182 of Indian Penal Code 1860, whoever gives to any public servant any information which he knows or believes to be false, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to six months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both.

As Per Section 211 of Indian Penal Code 1860, Whoever, with intent to cause injury to any person, institutes or causes to be instituted any criminal proceeding against that person, or falsely charges any person with having committed an offence, knowing that there is no just or lawful ground for such proceeding or charge against that person, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or with both; and if such criminal proceeding be instituted on a false charge of an offence punishable with death, imprisonment for life, or imprisonment for seven years or upwards, shall be punishable with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine.

And as you read above there were lots of false claims made against those who didn’t committed the actual crime, basically they were all forced by the situation. After coming through many forums and comments made by some upper officials and also after reading few posts made by the media. Here’s a best comment I’ve read  that was made by a Society who deals with topics related to crime that includes sexual assault as well.

“X makes a complaint that Z raped her in xyz hotel on the pretense of giving a raise. Z is arrested as per law, before even he proves himself.

News media will tell like this in the primetime : A shameful incident shook the nation when Z raped a woman on the pretense of a raise, are women safe in offices?
They don’t say that it is an accusation!!
A lot of accusations are made daily and that is enough content for news media to sensationalize us everyday.
Shun NDTV/ABP/Timesnow/Aajtak, watch DD news/Lok Sabha tv/Rajya sabha tv.They have standards, their discussions are better and not mere cacophony or sensationalization they cover all topics of national importance unlike the private news channels which only focuses on things that will give them TRP and Power.”

And this is really a worth-full comment that depicts how media plays role in paralyzing our minds to believe in anything without thinking rationally about it.

Now, what do you think?
Who should be blamed really? Is that the men community of India who lost their real identity and are thought to be similar like animals by our foreign friends?
May be it looks bit offensive , but Definitely this is not an offensive post for our Women in society. With this I just wished to pass this message that,
We are all humans let’s all get together and resolve everything that comes instead of calling men or women as criminals of society let’s keep these criminals into a different category. And people of India should now start thinking rationally about the situations across the country rather than following somebody’s claim blindly. If you find somebody accused of anything instead of taking direct action first confirm the real problem he/she has done. Get to know about reality and if it’s true then definitely he/she should be punished for such an act.

Overall, we need to look on a lot of things to overcome these issues. These factors include high ego of people, lack of knowledge and self esteem among few people in society and also many people are not aware of the laws in our constitution and some people tend to ignore them. That’s totally weird. Our country that’s emerging to be a developing nation do not actually qualify because of these circumstances happening across.

So just let your ego die and help people to bury ignorance.
Rise up and remember crime has no gender.
If you believe it, then you will definitely be responsible for the betterment of this society.
