Bananas are grown in more than 150 countries, producing 105 million tonnes of fruit per year. In scientific terms it is Musa × paradisiaca.  Eating them gives many health benefits and I am sure you know what are they and for few people today it is part of their diet.

So What’s new?

Well, there are many things which make us believe that Banana is not just a fruit or it’s just used for smoothies, shakes etc but it also act as a tool for curing your skin, hair and other stuffs.

Now let’s have a look to the list of 5 amazing facts that we never knew about. And after reading it, i swear you will love to try it.

1. Skin Moisturizing

Spending huge amount of pocket money for moisturisers ? Need a natural method as a backup? Well there are many but here let’s talk about Bananas. Bananas apart from other health benefits is a better solution to provide hydration to your skin and make it softer.  Here’s how to do it.

  • Smash banana in a bowl.
  • Smooth it on your skin.
  • Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Wash it with lukewarm water and then splash in cold water to lock in with moisture.
  • Your dry skin will instantly feel softer.

Caution: Sugary liquid of Banana should not enter your eyes.

2. Eye care (Puffy Eyes)

Read Caution? Confused?
Well let me clear, it’s true that paste should not enter your eyes but applying banana paste underneath the eyes could help you get rid of puffy eyes. As the potassium helps to counter salt intake that lead to fluid retention.

3.  Treat Acne

Acne is very common among youths today. Especially, with those who are aged between 12-24 years old.
Banana peel is so powerful that it can help you in acne reduction. What to do?

  • Before sleeping, just rub the inside of peel on your face.
  • Wash your face when you wake up in morning.
  • Repeat this at least once a day and follow this for a week.
  • The next day you get up, whoa your pimples are gone! 😉

  • Put 2 Bananas, 1 Avocado ( Butterfruit in India or Makhanphal in Hindi) and some yogurt in blender.
  • The creamy mixture will be formed then apply it to your scalp.
  • Wait for at least 20 minutes before rinsing it with warm water.

5. Polish

Apart from health and skin benefits, do you know your favorite fruit Banana could be a good tool to shine your boots?
Yes, it does! And hey not just your shoes but also the silverware in your home could shine when you rub the banana peel off their surface and later rub it with a paper cloth.
