Ganesh Festival in India is celebrated to mark the anniversary of Hindu God Ganesh, who’s son of Lord Shiva and also known as the God of Intelligence.
The festival lasts long for 10 days and it is primarily celebrated in every corner of state Maharashtra, but now the rituals and ceremonies are performed at various parts of the country.
Ganesh festival was inaugurated by Lokmanya Tilak with a motto to collaborate people of nation together and celebrate together during colonization period.
